Genex Technologies was founded in 1995 to further develop and commercialize the unique Rainbow® method of capturing 3D data. Since its founding Genex has developed into one of the market leaders in advanced imaging, including 3D and 360-degree technologies.
Since its inception, Genex has developed innovative technologies and products for all aspects of imaging, including capture, processing, display, and enhancement. Genex’s current products range from 3D cameras to surveillance algorithms to integrated facial recognition systems, and the company plans to announce many exciting and revolutionary new developments in the upcoming years.
Genex has won numerous awards from U.S. government agencies, including SBIR grants (Small Business Innovative Research) and ATPs (Advanced Technology Programs), with a very high percentage resulting in follow-on research. Genex’s efforts have won it national recognition with the Deloitte & Touche’s Fast 50 and Fast 500 for three years in a row and the prestigious National Tibetts Award. Genex was also recently ranked as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States, selected # 257 by Inc Magazine in “The 2002 Inc 500.”
Genex has successfully commercialized many of its technological innovations, and the company continues to bring new solutions to market. The first commercial product was the Rainbow 3D Camera, which generated significant revenue in the medical research market. Clients include prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The most recent version of Genex’s novel 3D technology is the 3D FaceCam, which offers a wide range of interesting applications, for both commercial and government uses.
The OmniEye® 360-degree product line is currently being used to support security and military applications. Most recently, Genex’s OmniEye WellCam has been used in Afghanistan and Iraq to support our military efforts and the war on terrorism.
