Genex’s 3D solutions are based on the Rainbow 3D® principal. The Rainbow 3D approach, developed and patented by Genex Technologies, Inc., is a novel three-dimensional surface profile measurement system. This method is based upon structured light, allowing fast and accurate acquisition of 3D objects with complex surface geometry. Genex’s unique sensing and computation algorithms enable our 3D cameras to capture a full 3D image in less than half a second. The resulting data model represents all (x,y,z) coordinates, or voxels, for every visible point on the object’s surface.
Genex has recently made advancements to its 3D product line, speeding up the capture time and improving its range of performance under ambient light. The first product using this new technology platform is the Genex 3D FaceCam™.
In addition to stand-alone 3D cameras, Genex is developing a line of Genex 3D Modeler and 3D Impression systems for rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, and mass customization. These solutions integrate Genex’s 3D camera technology with a motion stage for automated 3D model building.
