Genex's 3D DigitizerT System is a plug-and-play turnkey three-dimensional (3D) imaging solution. The purpose of this "black box" solution is to make it easy for the user to immediately capture 3D data to build models for applications in the commercial, industrial, medical, and dental markets. The system includes the Rainbow 3DŽ imaging system, an optimized computer, a precise robotic motion stage, and software for capture, display, and post-capture registration and editing. The system uses a "one-click" process to automatically capture a pre-defined sequence of images and register and merge these images into a full 3D model of the object. The EI (Ear Impression) system has been customized for applications in the custom hearing aid and ear mold markets. The system automates the process of converting a physical ear impression into a 3D model for streamlined production and quality control. Initial applications are for manufacturers/labs looking to streamline their operations and for large audiology and dispenser practices. Over time, more practitioners will adopt the technology for the improved turnaround times and accuracy that it enables.
