Border Control

Securing and defending the nation’s borders requires more than deploying thousands of fixed cameras. With over 185 major airports, 22 major ports, 12,000 km of land border, and 20,000 km of coastline, the United States is a large and open country.

The right solution must leverage a variety of fixed and mobile detection systems. Most importantly, the systems that are deployed must be more intelligent, autonomous, and reliable than traditional cameras. A single intelligent sensor can replace dozens of simple cameras by constantly scanning its surroundings for moving objects and threats.

Genex Technologies is leading the revolution towards distributed intelligent surveillance by developing systems and algorithms that are small, portable, and autonomous. The OmniEye family of 360-degree cameras and Genex’s high-speed processing platform deliver unprecedented levels of autonomy in the field. Not only can a single sensor view in 360-degrees, it can now detect a threat and transmit back to a guard station when necessary.

OmniEye cameras include advanced features typically only available on huge digital video recorder computers. Image enhancement, object tracking, and recording are just some of the numerous capabilities that Genex’s smart systems include on-board.

Genex is also developing imaging systems for unmanned vehicles that can cover huge areas of border with little or no human control.
