The OmniEye WellCam from Genex Technologies was showcased at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Exposition 2003 on October 6 to 8. The WellCam, which was exhibited by the U.S. Army and Materiel Command, was selected as the number one product of the year from the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD). This was a high honor for the small but extremely useful WellCam 360-degree system from Genex. The system was developed and rapidly prototyped in response to the need to inspect underground wells and holes in Afghanistan in February 2003 and on-going. Visitors to the U.S. AMC’s booth had the opportunity to see the WellCam in action in a simulated hole.
